MORE than 200 people attended the first public event organised by a Fairtrade forum.
The Richmond group held a tasting at the town's Oxfam shop on Saturday.
"It was a very successful day," said Gillian Howells, the acting co-ordinator of the newly-formed forum.
"We received lots of supportive comments.
"In particular, there was fulsome support for making Richmond a Fairtrade town.
"I'm especially grateful to the Oxfam shop manager, Betty Clayton, and volunteer, Allison Mayston, who made and poured the hot drinks."
