A SCHOOL hall became an art house yesterday as an exhibition of pupils' work went on display.
Youngsters from St Cuthbert's RCVA Primary School, in Crook, had their artwork professionally framed.
Watercolours, collages and much more were on show as parents viewed the exhibition, the culmination of several weeks of work for the children.
A local business called Images framed and set up the exhibition, with each painting given a number and parents handed a catalogue.
The work was for sale, with proceeds going towards school funds and the cost of the exhibition.
Headteacher Barbara Simpson said: "We wanted to give the children an opportunity to be independently creative, to decide what they wanted to create and to spend a considerable amount of time on it."
Also on sale were Fairtrade gifts and refreshments, as part of Fairtrade Fortnight
