A MUSIC festival for young people visits the region next week.
The Music for Youth Regional Festival comes to Newcastle on March 25.
More than 400 young instrumentalists, singers and dancers aged six to 21 from Tyneside, Wearside Teesside, Northumberland, County Durham, North Yorkshire and Scotland will perform during the festival - one of 60 taking place all over the UK.
Twenty-four groups of young musicians are performing in Newcastle, including four groups from the host school, Whickham School: double bass and guitar duos, a saxophone ensemble and a string quartet.
