COLOUR chaos was the theme of a North Yorkshire school's annual science day.
The sixth event, yesterday, at Risedale Community College, in Hipswell, near Catterick Garrison, was attended by 100 Year seven pupils and children from primary schools.
Jane Hailwood, the school's science co-ordinator, said: "The day is an excellent opportunity to forge stronger links with our primary schools. Year seven can share some of the skills that they have developed since September and Year five and six pupils get to experience science within a laboratory."
Pupils built a rocket, used flare tests to identify metals and saw how chromatography can solve a crime.
