A MUSICAL is touring schools in the Newton Aycliffe area to spread a life-saving message.
The Quantum Theatre show has been sponsored by 3M Aycliffe to support the company's winter road safety campaign.
Mike Simpson, of 3M Aycliffe, which manufactures respiratory equipment, said: "The show uses songs and comedy and is very interactive for the children. It supports the good work being done in the schools in encouraging the pupils to wear their high-visibility vests and be conspicuous near busy roads."
Among the schools to host the show has been Stephenson Way Primary School at Newton Aycliffe.
Headteacher Barry Dobson said: "The show was very entertaining and extremely successful at getting facts across in a memorable way to the children. The pupils learned a great deal and thoroughly enjoyed it at the same time."
As part of the campaign, 3M has donated thousands of high-visibility jackets to children to make them more visible to motorists in the dark.
