WEB solutions company SB Squared is planning to treble its turnover after acquiring part of one of its main competitors.
SB Squared, of Newcastle, has secured key educational and commercial clients from Tyneside company The Creative Cake. SB, run by Kathryn Watson and David Jeffries, will also take over some customer relationships and software products.
SB Squared, which operates from offices at Hoults Estate, Walker Road, offers a range of services, from web design and development to hosting, domain registration and Internet marketing.
Ms Watson, co-director, said: "This is an opportunity for SB Squared to not only develop and grow further, but to also establish ourselves in the educational sector where The Creative Cake is very highly regarded."
The Creative Cake will retain its commitment to various national clients and will continue to trade under The Creative Cake banner.
A company spokesman said: "We are delighted with the deal we have agreed with SB Squared. They are a professional and solid company, perfectly positioned to deal with client relationships and we have every confidence in their abilities to provide an excellent service to our former clients."
