MODIFIED plans to build barracks for more than 2,000 soldiers at Catterick Garrison have been given the blessing of councillors.
The development, off Plumer Road, will link Bourlon, Cambrai and Alma barracks with new accommodation, a mess, recreation facilities, parking, cycleways and footpaths. An earlier application was rejected by Richmondshire District Council following objections from residents.
