A POPULAR town centre chain store in Darlington is to be given a complete facelift.
The new look Marks & Spencer, in Northgate, will include a caf Revive and in-store bakery.
Work begins later this month and should be completed by the summer.
The 22,400-sq ft store, is to be re-designed and modernised.
Atmospheric lighting is to be installed, free-flow walkways and more modern fitting rooms.
The new layout will also allow for increased stock across womenswear, menswear and food.
The company has said customer disruption will be kept to a minimum and the store will continue to trade throughout the redevelopment.
Store manager, Elaine Smith, said: "This redevelopment affirms our continued commitment to Darlington."
