A MAN has been stabbed in the face during a night out.
It happened outside Bar R at the Roker Hotel, in Roker, Sunderland at 11.15pm on Monday.
A 25-year-old man was involved in a dispute with another man outside the premises.
He suffered a knife wound to the side of his face, which required nine stitches.
Neil Longstaff, 48, of Kettlewell Drive, Bradford, was charged with wounding and remanded in custody when he appeared before Sunderland magistrates on Wednesday.
