THE manager of Durham's Irish pub will have one of his busiest times in his last day in the job - on St Patrick's Day.
O'Neill's in Claypath will be marking next Friday in traditional style with Irish food, music and dancing, and a live broadcast by Durham FM presenter Craig Andrews from 10am to 2pm.
Mr Ague, 23, who is returning to his native Glasgow to take over a pub, is hoping his final shift in Durham will be memorable.
"I have been here almost a year and I've really enjoyed it. I will miss Durham. St Patrick's Day is always busy here but I think this is going to be the biggest and best yet so that I'll be going out on a high,'' he said.
The pub is opening at 10am, serving Irish breakfasts for the first hour, and there will be a give-away of Guinness during the radio show.
Mr Andrews said: "I'm looking forward to it, there should be a great atmosphere.''
Singer-guitarist Alan Kelly from Jesmond will be performing during the day and at night, local band Malarkey will provide the entertainment.
