People are invited to see right through the work of an internationally acclaimed artist.
Kate Owen's stained glass window with a difference is one of a collection of works on display at Sunderland's National Glass Centre.
Her work is on show in an exhibition titled Trip the Light Fantastic, which will remain open until April 30.
The exhibition has brought together the work of five British artists who are inspired and fascinated by the elusive qualities of light.
The Gates of Ades, which is Ms Owen's submission, transforms natural light as it filters through a fascinating cocktail of hundreds of bottles of fizzy juice, which together form an imposing stained glass window.
The exhibition, curated jointly by the National Glass Centre and Emma Underhill of London-based UP Projects, highlights the natural light of the contemporary, riverside building. At night it draws attention the centre's unique glass roof.
