A SKINCARE company set up by North-East entrepreneurs has broken into the £34.2bn facial skincare market with the launch of four products.
Dermasalve, set up by Durham GP Dr Mark Randle, backed by serial entrepreneur Karl Watkin, floated on the stock market in January with a value of £6.5m.
The company specialises in skincare for dry and sensitive skin, but is moving into facial products with the launch of its Pure Innovation brand.
The facial products market is forecast to grow at eight to ten per cent a year during the next six years.
Dermasalve plans to negotiate distribution agreements for the products so that they can be made available in major department stores, retail chemists and health stores throughout the country. Pictured is a model from the Dermasalve campaign.
