POLICE have again warned elderly people to be on their guard against bogus officials.
It follows an incident in Aiskew, near Bedale, when a pensioner was conned into letting thieves into his house.
The 90-year-old allowed two men, both in their 20s, into his bungalow last Friday morning to investigate a water supply fault in the area. Money was stolen from a cupboard.
Both men were of medium build. One wore a waist-length blue jacket and denim jeans.
Anyone who saw the men in Aiskew between 11am and 11.30am last Friday is asked to call police on (01609) 789452.
