A WALKER had to be airlifted to hospital after she suffered an epileptic fit and fell 8ft down a hillside.
The woman was walking in an isolated area of the Cleveland Way at Bankfoot, near Ingleby Greenhow, in east Cleveland, at about noon on Sunday when she became ill.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was scrambled from Leeds-Bradford Airport and located the woman within 30 minutes of the emergency call.
Paramedics on the helicopter worked with members of the Cleveland Search and Rescue team to stabilise the patient until they could transfer her to the James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough.
