TWO former school sites in East Durham could be sold off to developers by Durham County Council.
Murton Primary School, Murton Jubilee Primary School and Murton Nursery School are to be replaced by one school being built on the playing field at Murton Jubilee Primary School.
The council's cabinet will be told on Thursday that the Murton Primary site is surplus to the needs of the council's education department, but the nursery site could be used to relocate staff from Peterlee.
The cabinet will be urged to sell the primary site and to sell off the nursery land if it is not needed.
