A NEW manager has been appointed to oversee the running of Hartlepool Magistrates' and County Court.
The appointment follows the creation of Her Majesty's Courts Service last year, which brought all magistrates, crown and county courts together under one management.
Sue Stamp took over the role of managing Hartlepool's courts on Monday, with the duty of ensuring high standards of service and efficiency.
She said: "I'm delighted to be returning to Hartlepool, and I'm really thrilled to be taking up this challenging new job. Hartlepool county and magistrates' courts already work well, but I'm looking forward to working with staff to integrate the offices into a cohesive unit.
