POLICE are appealing for information after a two stolen cars collided in Sunderland.
It happened on Monday at about 6.40pm in Rhodesia Road in the Red House area of the city.
The collision was between a Vaxuhall Vectra, which had been stolen in a burglary in Hetton-le-Hole on February 1, and a Nissan Micra, which had been stolen in the Southwick area on the day of the collision.
The Vectra was travelling north in Rothbury Road and then entered Rhodesia Road, where it collided with the Micra, which was travelling west.
The drivers, both men and dressed in dark clothing, left the cars and argued with each other before they made off on foot before police arrived.
It is believed the men were possibly covered in blood.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who has any information about the vehicles, saw the collision or the drivers making off from the incident.
Anyone with information should contact motor patrols at Southwick, on 0191-454 7555, ext 66331.
