A Councillor has boosted the coffers of a mayor's charity appeal by completing a marathon - in the gym.
Councillor Vince Crosby, who represents the Greenfield Middridge ward on Sedgefield Borough Council, used the treadmill, cross trainer, bicycle and rowing machines to complete 31.7 miles at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre.
He raised more than £400 from the week-long event for the two chosen charities of Sedgefield Borough Mayor Jackie Piggott - the Great North Air Ambulance and the South Cleveland Heart Fund.
