ELECTIONS are taking place this week to choose carers who will have a say in services for people with learning disabilities.
Durham County Council's Social Care and Health service is holding the election to find carer representatives for groups that plan and support services.
The votes will be counted by teenagers at Framwellgate School, Durham, who are studying health and social care, with the results announced on Tuesday.
The two carers receiving the most votes in each of the five districts will be elected to attend meetings where they can put views forward.
