STAFF at a tourist attraction are hoping to catch our feathered friends on camera this spring.
Two bird boxes have been set up in the Botanic Gardens, at Durham City, with closed- circuit television cameras fitted inside.
Colour pictures with sound are then fed back to monitors set up in the attraction's cafe, so visitors can view the nesting birds.
The boxes are designed to allow daylight in, rather than requiring lightbulbs, to create a more natural atmosphere for the birds.
Staff hope the boxes will be used over the coming months and the cameras have been angled to provide the best images of the nests.
