TWO bus stands are to be built in Pickering as part of a plan to improve public transport services.
Town councillors want them on the edge of the Eastgate car park, not at the nearby roundabout, the main entrance for traffic into the busy market town.
Judy Dixon, chairwoman of a Ryedale transport action group, said improved facilities for public transport would help young people to get access to better careers and boost tourist income.
