NORTHALLERTON Male Voice Choir is to present a fundraising concert in aid of Marrick Priority Education and Residential Centre.
Organised by the friends of the centre, the event is to be held in Richmond Town Hall, at 7.30pm on March 18.
Chairman and secretary of the friends, Trevor Brooks, said: "This is an evening not to be missed. Over the years, the choir has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Durham Cathedral, Fountains Abbey and for Tyne Tees TV.
"And since they only give about ten concerts per season, we count ourselves very lucky indeed."
Over the past four years, the friends have raised more than £11,000, towards the purchase of a minibus, water sports equipment, a weather station and sets of waterproofs for primary school children.
"One of the most important reasons for this fundraising concert is to enable us to support every bursary application that is received," said Mr Brooks.
Tickets, priced £6 including refreshments, are available from Eileen Baker on (01748) 825765.
