WILDLIFE received a boost during the half-term holidays, when young people turned their hands to making bird and bat boxes.
The craft session took place at Stockton Borough Council's Ragworth Neighbourhood Centre, Stockton, to encourage children to care for the environment.
As part of the session, countryside wardens brought along a barn owl, harvest mice, rabbits and ferrets for youngsters to hold while they learned more about wildlife and how to care for it.
The centre also ran the popular Internet games event, CyberChaos, which attracted almost 80 young people over three days.
Plans are now being made for the Easter holidays at the Ragworth Neighbourhood Centre
