A VILLAGE labelled the most stress-free in Yorkshire is drawing up a scheme to improving its quality of life.
The parish council-led plan has been produced by councillors and residents of Sinnington, following an in-depth survey.
The village got its stress-free accolade in an Oxford University study.
But residents were asked to put forward their ideas and views on how the village could be made even more idyllic, according to parish council chairman, Bill Baldwin.
People living and working in Sinnington were asked how they would like to see it change and develop and to influence the thinking and decisions made by outside authorities.
One of the first items to be tackled will be to explore ways to provide a new pavilion and better sports and play facilities, with a task group of interested organisations.
Other ideas are to continue clearing debris from the River Seven, the creation of a footpath and cycleway along the A170 to Pickering and Kirkbymoorside and more housing to be for local people.
