The match of the day in the Wearside League is between leaders Cleadon SC and second-top Whitehaven at Jack Clark Park with five points separating the pair, writes Malcolm Pratt.
Following a recent blip Cleadon are back in form but manager Doug Key is under no illusion as to the size of the task.
"They are a very good. It's important we don't get beaten but with four other sides in contention, we need to keep on winning," said Key.
Birtley Town are third ahead of their fixture at Willington where manager Dave Smith will be unable to call upon the influential Paul Bryson.
Wolviston face in-form Boldon CA strengthened by the inclusion of Anthony Ptopholous, Ian Perry and Andrew Robinson but Paul Roberts and Richie Farrell are sidelined. Boldon CA have lost striker David Tait who has returned to Northern League side Sunderland Nissan.
Harton and Westoe play Windscale, while Teesside Athletic host Ferryhill Athletic missing Danny Parkes, Ian Johnson and Steve Hodgson. Midfielder Andrew Mitchell's fitness is a concern but Simon Tong returns to the squad.
New Marske have home advantage over Nissan SSC Sunderland in a bottom-four clash missing Adam Taylor, Tommy Williams, Paul Graham and Jamie Bethney.
The fixture between Jarrow and Stokesley SC is in doubt because of the condition of the pitch at Perth Green. Jarrow requested the game be switched but Stokesley's grounds are all in use.
