GIRL Guides, Brownies and Rainbow packs in Hurworth have raised a flag in the village to celebrate a special day.
The flag - the guiding World Flag - flew over the village to mark the joint birthdays of Lord Robert Baden-Powell and Lady Olave Baden-Powell, who founded the scouting and guiding movements nearly 100 years ago.
The same flag was flown across many places in the world on Wednesday.
More than 70 children in Hurworth are members of Guide, Brownie or Rainbow packs.
