A WITCHES' workshop was rated a success this week as youngsters had a wicked time.
About 25 children aged between four and 12 created masks and cats, as well as a spell and a song, at the workshop at Bishop Auckland Town Hall.
Two wacky witches, Eileen Glenton and Sue Abel, supervised the event.
All of the youngsters received a certificate to mark their graduation from the school of wacky witchcraft.
"It's been a good day and the children have enjoyed it," said principal witch Ms Glenton.
"They have been very well-behaved - but that might be because I have been dressed as a witch all day."
