DETAILS of activities and workshop taster sessions that could form part of a new Darlington youth programme have been revealed.
Haughton Youth Club has been operating for 43 years and will soon launch a new era by moving to the £37.4m education village in the town.
The club is presently based at Haughton Community School and opens two nights a week, but has been offered the chance to provide activities at the village's premises when they open after the Easter holidays.
As a result, Darlington Youth Service has arranged for a series of taster events to take place over the next few weeks, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The service wants youngsters to try the various activities, and the most popular will form the new programme.
All activities start between 6.45pm and 7pm, and entry is 50p. The Give It A Go timetable is as follows:
* February 21: Rave disco;
* February 23: Archery, street dance, art work;
* February 28: Boxercise, aerobics, photography tutorial, art work;
* March 2: Archery, street dance, photography - seeing the result;
* March 7: Boxercise, survival training, nail care, DJ workshop;
