THE good old days of music hall are being recreated by the Northallerton Variety Company.
It is staging a music hall concert, organised by the local Rotary Club, at the Friarage Hospital's recreation hall on Saturday, March 11.
Tony Wormald, of York Magic Circle, will be master of ceremonies and the event is in aid of the hospital's Healing Arts project.
The programme aims to raise money to commission pieces of major artwork at the hospital as part of the redevelopment of the Friarage.
Research has shown that adopting a holistic approach to patient care through the use of colours, light, art, texture and the performing arts, can help a person's recovery and create a lasting impressing on everyone who visits and works there.
The event gets under way at 7.30pm. Tickets, which cost £7 for adults and £5 for concessions, are available from Greensleeves in Central Arcade, and Northallerton Book Shop.
