A SHOWCASE of local talent has been on stage at Liverpool's world famous Cavern Club.
The venue, known for its regular Beatles concerts at the start of their rise to fame, recently played host to a duo of young Teesdale bands.
Members of The Blue 42s and The Experiment are all under the age of 18, both bands playing a mixture of covers and original material.
The groups are involved in the Teesdale Community Resources (TCR) music project in Barnard Castle.
They were asked to play the club's Sound of the Sixties night by club promoter and ex-member of the Swinging Blue Jeans, Tommy Hughes.
The musicians met several people involved in organising the night who were involved with the club in the 60s.
As a result of the bands' performances, TCR have been asked back to play in the future. To see reviews of the concert visit www.kingsizetaylor.com
