MUSIC and dance put fun into learning for families who turned up at an event in Teesdale.
African drums, dancing, football coaching, arts, crafts and basic Spanish lessons were all included in a busy programme in Middleton-in-Teesdale Village Hall at the weekend.
Organisers were trying to show that learning is fun and can be enjoyed by people of all ages and interests.
Visitors could also have their blood pressure taken and heart rate read, while experts were on hand with advice on quitting smoking.
Plans were on show for a SureStart Children's Centre to be based in the village primary school from October.
An informal meeting of the Children's Centre Partnership is in the village hall on March 6 at 1.30pm.
The family learning event was organised by the partnership and funded by SureStart County Durham which is managed by Durham County Council, Family Learning in County Durham and One NorthEast.
