Crash victim is cut from car: A WOMAN was cut free from her car yesterday following a head-on collision.
Fire crews were called to Barns Farm, on the A173 Skelton to Guisborough Road, at about 11.45am, following the collision between a Nissan Almera and a Vauxhall Golf. The Nissan driver was taken to the James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, with suspected spinal injuries. Fire crews attended from from Skelton, Guisborough and Coulby Newham.
BALLROOM LESSONS: Former world dance finalists Peter and Lynda Mitchinson are teaching ballroom dancing to children from North Ormesby, Middlesbrough, this week. Each day during half-term, ten boys and ten girls will travel on a minibus to a dance studio at Saltburn. After a week of rehearsals, the children will dance the tango, cha cha cha and rumba in front of an audience in the Trinity Centre.
RIDING SALE: The Saltburn and District Bridleways Group is holding a tack and togs sale on Sunday, March 19, from 11.30am to 1.30pm, at Thrushwood Farm, New Marske. Tables cost £5 and can be booked by calling Pam Watson on (01287) 625807. Anyone wanting to discuss off-road riding, bridleways and related issues will have the chance to speak to committee members.
