A SCHOOL performed a famous Willy Russell play to sell-out audiences last week.
Parkside School's performing arts group, from Willington, performed Blood Brothers on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The cast had been rehearsing for five months for the opening night. About 30 pupils, aged between 11 and 16, were involved.
There was also a supporting team, which managed scenery, costumes and lights.
Director of the show, Paul Bond, the school's head of performing arts, said: "The staff and pupils have worked hard to prepare for the performances.
"The play itself is quite dramatic and sad in parts, and the fact that the cast managed to evoke emotions from the audience showed just how much talent they had."
