A glazing contractor that has seen turnover more than triple in two years has won three contracts worth more than £4m.
Baydale Architectural Limited, in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, won the contracts in Nottingham, Dublin and Cork.
The company, which manufacturers steel, stainless steel and aluminium glazing for the construction, offshore and marine industries, has seen turnover climb from £3m to £10m in the past two years.
Baydale's average order value has more than tripled in that time. The company, which employs 60 staff, moved into larger premises to accommodate the growth.
"We have been in our new premises for nearly a year now and have created 15 jobs," said Jon Smith, Baydale's managing director. "This has been achieved simply by teamwork and the concentrated marketing of an excellent range of products. The next few years are going to be exciting for the company as we continue to grow and move into bigger and more diverse markets."
Baydale was established 11 years ago and moved from Darlington to Newton Aycliffe.
"Originally, we were involved in the specialist side of high performance, fireproof and bomb-resistant glazing," said Duncan Whitfield, sales director.
"We than took the view to move into the more conventional side and took on an aluminium system to complement what we did, and it opened up a much larger market.
"We have been very successful and grown steadily year-on-year. We now offer a complete service for our customers and that is why our order values have more than tripled."
The company's most recent contract wins will see it supply steel and aluminium glazing to Laing O'Rourke for a mixed- use development in Nottingham city centre.
It will also supply contractor Michael McNamara for a residential development in Dublin and for the development of Cork Airport Hotel.
Baydale provided more than 200 high performance, blast resistant windows for the Stirling Prize-winning New Scottish Parliament Building.
