EMPLOYEES are warming up to raise money for a special care baby unit.
Staff at Cummins Engines factory, in Yarm Road, Darlington, are organising a charity football tournament.
Money raised on the day, which will also include a penalty shoot-out and crossbar challenge, will go to the Friarage Hospital, in Northallerton.
More than ten teams will take part in the competition. Darlington FC mascots Mr Q and Darlo Dog will also be present.
Every year the firm runs a charity function. The tournament has been arranged because of the number of footballers among the 800 staff.
It will take place at the Eastbourne Sports Complex, on Sunday, February 26.
Carly Mahone is organising the event as part of her internship at the firm, during her year out from her degree at Sheffield Hallam University.
She said: "As part of the committee, we had a few choices and we selected one.
"The special care baby unit has helped a few people at Cummins, so it was close to home.
"It is nice for people here to give something back."
A number of prizes have also been donated, including 100 tickets from Sunderland Dogs, tickets for Sedgefield Races and tours of Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium.
