A TEENAGER from Catterick Garrison has been selected for the North Yorkshire under-14s rugby squad.
Jamie Fox, a student at St Francis Xavier School, in Richmond, was chosen after trials in York.
The teenager already captains the Darlington under-14s club at Blackwell Meadows.
Jamie, of Holme Road, began playing rugby when he was five. He has been encouraged by his father, Andrew, who serves with the Queen's Royal Lancers.
His mother, Tracy, said: "Rugby is Jamie's be all and end all. He thought he hadn't played particularly well for the trial so he was delighted to be chosen."
