THE basement car park at Hartlepool's Middleton Grange Shopping Centre will be closed for two weeks for refurbishment.
It will close on Monday, although pedestrian access to the shopping centre will be maintained.
The £20,000 refurbishment includes painting of the air conditioning ducts, ceiling and walls. An anti-graffiti coating is also to be applied to the walls.
The parking bays will be re-marked, the pay-and-display ticket machines will be relocated and signs and security shutters will be installed.
The car park is expected to reopen on March 6, although there may still be some minor disruption, including restricted access to some parts of the site, whilst work is completed.
The nearby Westside, Waldon Street and Roker Street car parks will not be affected, and additional parking patrol officers will be on duty in the area to advise and direct motorists.
