THERE is a chance to find out more about the history, geology and nature of part of the North-East coast this weekend.
Hartlepool Borough Council's Countryside Wardens have joined forces with the Tees Valley Wildlife Trust to organise a five-mile walk, from 10.30am to 1.30pm, on Sunday. The route will go from Hartlepool's Headland to Hart Station, taking in the historic Heugh Battery, Spion Kop Cemetery and Hart Warren Dunes nature reserves.
Booking is essential by calling the countryside wardens on (01429) 853325. Walkers are asked to meet at the Heugh Battery on the Headland.
