THE lunatic world of the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit is being brought to life by some budding stars of the future.
Talented youngsters at Huntington School, near York, are staging their version of the Lewis Carroll classic, Alice in Wonderland.
About 40 lower school pupils are putting on the show and, after some exhausting rehearsals, they are taking to the stage tonight and tomorrow.
Alice is played by two year nine pupils, Megan Orr and Isobel Prestley, and the show has been co-directed by English teacher Jane Collins and drama teacher Sarah Light.
"The children have been very committed to this all the way along, putting in two hours of rehearsals twice a week," said Mrs Collins.
"The nice thing is they get to work with people from different year groups as sixth-formers are working on lighting and costumes."
The play starts at 7.30pm, and tickets are £3.50 adults and £2.50 concessions.
