YOUNGSTERS have organised a day of tidying up to improve their community.
The Willows Community Centre's Youth Forum, known as the Wyc4ts, decided they wanted to improve the area around the community centre so they organised a Make A Difference Day on Monday.
They plan to smarten up the area in the hope that they will be able to create a community garden in the future. And they are asking for the help of adult residents.
There will be about 30 young people taking part in the tidy up around the centre in Northport Road, in the Portrack and Tilery area of Stockton from 10.30am. Freda the Frog, Stockton Borough Council's recycling mascot, will attend.
After the hard work, there will be fun and games in the afternoon.
The Care For Your Area team and the Environment Centre are providing lunch for those who take part.
