A FARM worker died after taking cannabis and amphetamines, an inquest heard.
Stuart Powell, 21, of Rigby Terrace, Aiskew, near Bedale, collapsed at his home in the early hours of October 9 last year.
He was taken to the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, but could not be saved.
An inquest at County Hall, Northallerton, yesterday heard that Mr Powell had been smoking cannabis with a friend. He had also taken a small amount of amphetamine. He began to vomit violently and complained he could not breathe.
Consultant pathologist Dr Daniel Scott said that the most likely cause of death was the drugs he had taken. Coroner Michael Oakley recorded a verdict of misadventure.
