A MAN accused of breaching an anti-social behaviour order (Asbo) by threatening a Harrogate family was remanded in custody by the town's magistrates yesterday.
Richard Hart, 20, pleaded not guilty to the breach of a two-year order made in May 2004 and also denied using threatening behaviour towards Matthew Lines, his wife Gemma and his brother Joseph.
Mr Hart, of St Andrew's Crescent, Harrogate, also denies assaulting Joseph Lines during an incident on Sunday while he was walking home with his pregnant sister Louise.
Defence solicitor Clive Farndon applied for bail, but court chairman David Gravells, who also ordered the case to be tried by a judge and jury, backed a call by Michael Hammond, prosecuting, for him to be kept in custody.
Mr Hart was remanded until next Tuesday when he will appear via a television link with Hull Prison.
