A HEALTHY appetite has been given new meaning with a cookery course in Darlington.
Darlington Primary Care Trust (PCT) has been helping people at the mental health charity Mind appreciate that food can be cheap and healthy at the same time.
The PCT's Get Cooking for Health co-ordinator Kathryn Errington said: "We have been showing people how to prepare healthy food which is appetising and low cost. We have also taught the group about basic nutrition so they understand why the food is healthy."
Deputy chief executive of Darlington Mind, Janet Rissetto, said: "The sessions have proved to be a real success and we have been able to share recipes and discuss nutrition."
