A PARISH council is backing a development that includes low-cost housing, but planners are recommending refusal.
Land behind the Lamb Inn, at Rainton, is set aside for 13 homes, to include eight affordable properties.
Rainton with Newby Parish Council said affordable houses would be welcomed, but planners at Harrogate District Council have recommended refusal.
They said the scheme would be outside the main village confines. A decision will be made on Tuesday.
