FOREST chiefs will be holding the last of a series of runs this month.
Guisborough Forest and Walkway has been staging the post-season runs throughout January and February to help people get back into shape.
The runs have been organised by the Forestry Commission and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council as part of the Active Woods health campaign.
Two final sessions take place this Sunday and next Sunday from 10am to noon.
Coach Jill Sexton, from Guisborough, will encourage novices and advise more experienced runners on improving their technique.
Ranger Cath Brason said: "We've been absolutely bowled over by the success of the event. People are definitely taking to heart the message that they need to exercise more. And it's not only the running events that have proved popular. The forest has also been busier with walkers, bikers and horse riders."
Sessions cost £1, and participants meet at Guisborough Forest and Walkway Visitor Centre, Pinchinthorpe.
