Bishop Auckland will give new striker Richie Storr his debut as they try to give themselves a glimmer of survival hope against Stocksbridge in the UniBond First Division this afternoon at the Brewery Field.

Manager Brian Healy has managed to sign Storr from Northern League club Thornaby, where he has scored nine times in the league this season.

But Healy is also trying to sign a keeper, because regular John Mohan is having a trial at Irish club Drogheda, so he is hoping that Hartlepool will allow him to sign James Winter on loan.

Healy said: "Richie is one of the best strikers I've seen this season, and hopefully, he'll help us turn the corner."

Midfielder Andy O'Shea is out because of injury.

Bishops are marooned at the bottom and need to find title winning form to climb out of trouble.

In the premier division, Whitby face Runcorn at the Turnbull Ground, and have a fitness doubt over Marc Eccles, but Tommy Raw could return.

Blyth are at home to Witton Albion, and improving Gateshead are at Telford.
