THE Archbishop of York will tour a salt mine and lighthouse during a trip around the region next week.
The Most Reverend Dr John Sentamu will visit Guisborough Deanery, in east Cleveland, on Tuesday. He will spend the morning meeting and worshipping with fellow clergy.
In the afternoon, the Rural Dean of Guisborough and the Vicar of Redcar, the Reverend Canon John Weetman, will take Dr Sentamu to the South Gare, a man-made breakwater on the headland overlooking the Tees estuary.
He will meet Teesport chaplain Colin Worswick near the South Gare Lighthouse.
He will then visit Cleveland Potash's Boulby Mine.
He will answer questions at a public meeting at St Nicholas' Church, Guisborough, at 7pm.
