YORK arts magazine Aesthetica, the new issue of which is out on Wednesday, has launched an event for performers.
Speakers' Corner will be held at the Yorkshire Terrier pub, in Stonegate, York, on the second Wednesday of the month.
Aesthetica's Cherie Federico said it aims to provide a platform for people. "Come down if you've got something to say, read, perform, or just to listen," she said.
The next event is at 7.30pm on Wednesday, February 8.
On Monday, February 6, the magazine hosts a creative writing workshop at the pub, at 8pm. Admission is £2.
