ALLEGATIONS about the behaviour of councillors will not be investigated, Government inspectors have announced.
Councillor Stuart Parsons, from Richmondshire District Council, made a complaint to the Standards Board for England about 15 fellow members.
The complaint came after the members raised two motions criticising him and four other councillors for their treatment of senior officers.
However, the inspectors said the alleged conduct did not amount to a potential breach of the authority's code.
Coun Paul Cullen, one of the 15 councillors named by Coun Parsons, said: "Members of the Independent Coalition have been regularly accused by Coun Stuart Parsons on several issues and it is refreshing to see that when looked at independently, his protestations once again are without foundation."
Coun Parsons said he would appeal.
