ARTIST Neil McBride has chosen home territory to stage his latest exhibition.
Hambleton-based Mr McBride, a specialist in contemporary landscape paintings, is showing his work at the civic centre in Northallerton - headquarters of Hambleton District Council.
His work is inspired by the stunning landscapes around his home near Easingwold - but he has become famous for the addition of three-legged sheep on his canvasses.
"I always include three sheep - and each with only three legs," he said. "At first, my farming friends were a little bewildered by my interpretation, until they took a closer look at their sheep. From certain angles, some sheep really do look as though they only have three legs."
Also on show is a series of relationship pictures of people. Several paintings are for sale - ranging from £200 to £500.
The exhibition is on view until April.
